The Origin Story of Us — Corey & KrYsta
A Story of Survival, Truth, and the Reunion of Two Worlds
Every family has a beginning.
Ours began long before we knew it —
long before the signatures,
long before the courtrooms,
long before the rise of Does This Help®,
and long before the world started calling me “Krysta Niner.”
Our story began in 1998, inside the walls of Omega Legal Systems.
I was legally Krista Romero then — still young K. Kirton at heart, awake, alert, surviving more than anyone around me realized. I worked as the Receptionist, the one who kept the front desk moving, the one who smiled even when life behind the scenes was falling apart. That year marked the beginning of my survival story: the moment I became a Survivor of Domestic Violence, even if I didn’t yet call it by its name.
Corey was the Controller, steady and quiet.
Marten, his Brother, worked in the Sales Department.
Three of us under the same Business roof, not yet knowing the truth:
We weren’t just Co-workers.
We were Witnesses to the beginning of a story that Spirit had already written.
Before Kirton-Niner, there was chaos.
Before Zion, there was fire.
Before the family we built, there was the Romero family I survived.
Domestic Violence doesn’t always look like bruises.
Sometimes it’s confusion.
Sometimes it’s silence.
Sometimes it’s watching your own reality get twisted into something that doesn’t match the truth you live.
By the time I walked through Omega’s glass doors, I had already lived too much life for my age. I had been shaped by Hector’s violence, motherhood, betrayal, and a system that didn’t always protect the people it should have. I carried all of that quietly — the way many Survivors do.
But Spirit knew what was coming.
Omega Legal Systems — the first meeting place of our names.
Where Kirton and Niner brushed past each other before destiny unfolded.
Where I learned that the people who come into your life have timing you don’t understand until decades later.
I did not know then that Corey would become the man who helped put my identity back together.
I didn’t know he would stand beside me through truth-telling, trauma healing, family building, court battles, and the long walk to reclaiming who I truly am.
I didn’t know he would be the one whose name would join mine,
not to erase me —
but to restore me.
Kirton.Niner.me — dia the story.
día meaning day, meaning light, meaning the moment it became clear.
This site is the place where the story of “us” is preserved the way it actually happened —
not the way their agendas tried to write it.
It is the place where:
- Krista Romero became K. Kirton Niner
- The sealed files do not silence the truth
- The lies of others are unraveled by honesty
- The trauma becomes testimony
- The family becomes eternal
- And the survival becomes strength
This is our me dia, the daylight breaking open the decades.
This is where the story finally tells itself.
A Story of Two Names, One Covenant
Kirton is my blood.
Niner is my bond.
Together they are my restored identity —
the one I choose,
the one God sealed,
the one Corey stood beside,
the one no one can erase.
KIRTON.NINER.me dia is…
A story about survival.
A story about truth.
A story about two people who met in 1998 and didn’t yet know they were building a kingdom together.
A story about a woman who refused to stay silent and a man who refused to leave her alone in the fire.
It is the story of us —
written in real life,
lived in full color,
and preserved for the Generations who will come after.
Does This Help®?
It should.
Because this is how our Legacy begins.
